SHEQUITA, I enjoyed the book immensely, and you did an excellent job of penning
your text… It provides an immediate identification with us Black ladies and it
projects the mental image of a Black woman who has experience in “life and
living” and in “relationships”, thereby possessing great credibility in
speaking, evaluating, and advising on the subject….
I
admire the candid nature of the book. Great realism. There is
something with which each of us can identify or relate, and I
find the witty humor which pervades the entire narrative so
refreshing and lends, through humor, a nice emphatic jolt to
some very profound issues.
I
can’t wait for your next winner. Believe me, I Laughed, I
Related, and I was absolutely Encouraged (as you
promised).

At
last, a truly honest, introspective look at male/female relationships. Having
been married twice, I have been privy to both ends of the female spectrum: one
wife who was the "poor little me" type, who never let me know what was on her
mind; and my second spouse, who thankfully leaves no doubt about where she
stands. I'll take the latter any day. But, I digress. It is a joy to find an
authoress (I know, it's a dated term) who is capable of seeing both sides of the
equation, and presenting them with credibility. Well done.

I just
finished the book and found it both refreshing and a life saver!
The many scenarios, with helpful tips and solutions combined
with Shequita's infused wit, gave me the courage and insight to
handle a personal situation with my man differently than I would
have handled it previously. Instead of wimping out and knuckling
under - as usual, I stated what I wanted, followed the author's
instructions, and GOT what I requested! He even told me he
respected me for communicating my expectations and will make
extra effort to fulfill them....is this the same man???? I sure
wish I had had this book a long time ago!!!

Highly
recommended! I truly enjoyed "Basements Are For Women Too!". A
great blend of humor, stories from the heart, wit, and practical
advice on how to stabilize the relationship with your man and
obtain the respect you both deserve. Every woman will
immediately recognize their husbands / boyfriends in the short
stories and examples (too funny, too true!). "Basements" has
great insight on how deal with some obstinate behavior from you
man, and how to change the situation around so everyone
benefits.
